So I've been wanting to get into medium format (120) film for some time now. I had spent some time trying to figure out a cheap way into it, and getting a TLR seemed the best way to go.
(Medium format film is 2.25 inches square so it is much larger than 35mm film. Also, 12 shots per roll...make 'em count.)
After finding Collectible Cameras and ordering this 1950's Yashica model A (which is in perfect condition) it was just about getting some film. Kodak in Bermuda still process and scan 120 film as long as it's C-41 (negs and prints) so at least I could develop the film here.
This is my first roll of Kodak Ektar 100, I've even put up the 2 shots I messed up by loading the film a bit wrong at the beginning. Ah well, now I know.
These cameras are entirely manual and its nice because it forces you to slow down and think about what you are doing.
